These sessions focus on effective instructional practices, changes in school climate, relationship-building approaches, and teacher attitudes and skills that will decrease alienation of African-American students.   The goal is to assist this targeted group of students in attaining successful school achievement and in helping educators learn to have difficult, courageous conversations.
