Your privacy is very important to us at the Central Indiana Educational Service Center (C.I.E.S.C.), and we are dedicated to maintaining the privacy of your information. We store the minimum amount of personal information necessary to effectively serve you as an Professional Development resource. This policy outlines our commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of your data.
As we grow and as your needs change, we may need to alter this policy. If we do, an indication of the change will be posted to this web site.
1. Information we collect
We collect information volunteered by the user, such as survey information
and/or site registrations. This includes the user's email, name, and
billing/shipping address and phone number. For each visitor to our Web
page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the end user's IP address,
and nothing else from the user's computer. Furthermore, we do not store
credit card information at our site; transactions involving a credit card are
processed as a one-time transaction through our third party Credit processor, Verisign.
2. Use of Information
The information we collect is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.
We do not partner with or have special relationships with any ad server
companies. From time to time, we may use customer information for new,
unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our
information practices change at some time in the future we will use for these
new purposes only data collected from the time of the policy change forward.
For each user, we make available unique identifier information (e.g., customer
number or password) that we maintain about them, transaction information (e.g.,
dates on which customers made purchases, amounts and types of purchases) that we
maintain about them, and contact information (e.g., name, address, phone number)
that we maintain about them. End users can access this information by or
visiting the "Profile" and "Account History" sections of the website.
3. Cookies
Similar to many other internet sites, we use cookies to store user login
information (if the appropriate checkbox is clicked upon login to the site) in
order to make subsequent logins faster. This cookie does not store any
private user information besides your login ID and full name, and can be avoided
by not selecting the "Remember My Sign-In Across Browser Restarts" checkbox
during the login process.
4. Security
When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as
financial information, we employ industry standard security measures to ensure
the confidentiality of your data. Despite these measures, we cannot
guarantee the security of your information due to the nature of the internet.
The following practices are utilized to protect you and your information:
- SSL encryption is used to transfer your credit card information to our
third party processor; order submissions are redirected to a secure server.
- Firewalls are used to prevent unauthorized access to our data stores.
- We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities
to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have
collected from you.
- Disaster recovery procedures are adhered to.
- The data integrity is verified prior to processing.
- Proper access restrictions are in place to prevent unauthorized viewing or
modifying of data.
5. How you can modify information, opt-out, or contact
us
We offer visitors the ability to have inaccuracies corrected in contact
information and unique identifiers. End users can have this information
corrected via self-service by visiting the "Profile" and "Account History"
sections of the website.
After your registration to our site, you can opt-out at any time, requesting
that your information be removed from our database. To do so, please
